A Drop Camp is where we take you in and out to your camp on horseback. You provide all of your camping gear, and we are just the ride in and out. We do provide meat hauls for each hunter in your party. If you are on a long hunt during archery season, and the weather is warm, we will come in during the middle of your hunt and make a meat run. We will do whatever we can to keep from spoiling any meat.

We do request that you rent a satellite phone to call us and let us know how many animals we will be packing out. Satellite phones are cheap to rent, and available from a variety of sources. Cell phones do work at times in the mountains, depending on your cell phone provider and your exact location. But for the sake of safety and to avoide spoiling an animal, we do require that your hunting party have a satellite phone.

A Drop Supplied Camp includes the same ride in and ride out with meat haul as a Drop Hunt, however we already have a camp setup with the basics provided.

What We Provide

  • Wall Tent
  • Wood Stove
  • Water Heater
  • Propane Cook Stove
  • Propane
  • Lanterns
  • 2 Tables
  • Folding Chairs
  • Sleeping Cots
  • You will need to bring your own sleeping bag and sleeping pad. As well as your own personal gear. All of our Supplied Camps are located near a stream or spring. We encourage you to bring a collapsable plastic water container, typically 5 gallon. You should also bring a saw and an axe for fire wood

A Deluxe Camp is where we provide nearly everything, including food prepared by a dutch oven cook. You get the same ride in and out, and meat hauls. We provide an additional sleeping wall tent for the clients, and our cook will manage the kitchen tent. You will be provided with a hot breakfast before heading out on the hunt. You will have sandwiches to pack during the day, along with other snacks. And then after the hunt, an awesome dinner is prepared followed by an after dinner dessert.

Deluxe Camps can include or not include a guide or guides. Just depends on your hunting style and needs. In regards to guides, we like to keep a 2 hunter to 1 guide ratio. If you choose to go without a guide, then you will not have the ability to ride out on horseback. If you choose to have a guide, our guides double as horse wranglers. So you will have the ability to cover some distance via horseback if need be.
